Classic Cheeseball Recipe with Weight Watchers Cheese

It’s officially summer, and that means outdoor entertaining (and gatherings in general) are in full swing. We know it’s always tempting for us this time of year to just let our diet fall to the wayside and take advantage of every fattening thing people offer us at a party; but just because you’re invited to a million BBQ’s and pool parties, doesn’t mean you have to lose track of nutrition and keeping your body in balance. That’s where great products like Weight Watchers cheese products come in. Now we know what you’re thinking, Weight Watchers? reduced cheese? Bahh! It won’t taste like the real thing! Well, that’s where you’re wrong.

Weight Watchers cheese is real and all natural cheese, they just have less fat than regular cheeses. Plus they taste just like the real thing! You definitely shouldn’t have to sacrifice taste to get a healthier option like Weight Watchers cheese, and they know this. So they didn’t! You have the great taste of real and all natural cheese AND less fat. What more could you want? We wanted to mention that they are a great price too. We picked up the Weight Watchers Whipped Cream Cheese at our local Kroger, and the price is super competitive compared to regular cream cheese, which is definitely a good thing!

To give you guys some cream cheese inspiration for your next summer gathering we wanted to make a Classic Cheeeball recipe. This recipe is classic to us at least, some of our friends originally made it, and we have loved it ever since.

Here’s what you’ll need:

2 Tubs of Weight Watchers Whipped Cream Cheese
1/2 bunch of green onion tops(chopped)
2 jars of dried beef
1 tsp. accent salt

The first step is with your dried beef. Using a food processor/chopper, process the jars of beef until they’re small. Once they’re processed, split up the beef (in half) and set aside.

In a bowl, combine half of the dried beef, cream cheese, green onion tops (chopped), and accent salt.

Mix the mixture together. It seems gross but the best way to get this to come out evenly mixed and right is to just use your hands (make sure they’re clean of course!). Once it’s all mixed, lay out the other half the dried beef on a cutting board or counter top and spread it out.

Take the cheeseball mixture out of the bowl and roll it into a big ball in your hands. Then roll it in the dried beef so that it creates a nice coating. Once it’s all coated, set on a plate and let it chill in the fridge for about 20 mins or so, until its nice and firm.
