Tikka Marsala Pizza Recipe

Today we’re making this delicious Tikka Masala Pizza, using some ingredients that we’ve gotten from the latest Degustabox. This recipe is actually based on one that we got in the actual Degustabox, we just tweaked it a bit to our tastes. This Tikka Masala Pizza is a great dinner idea for a weeknight. It’s super easy to make, yet is different from just your garden variety pizza. It definitely satisfies your craving for Indian food, but without the takeout!

You’ll need:
Boneless skinless Chicken Breast (cut)
KC BBQ Rub Seasoning
1 jar Sharwoods Tikka Marsala Indian Cooking Sauce
1 premade pizza crust (or to make more personalized sizes, you can just use some naan bread – you can usually find this in your local store bakery. We love the ones at our local Kroger)
Cheddar Cheese blend (shredded)
Cilantro
Butter
Fresh tomatoes (optional)

To get started you will want to prepare your chicken. The amount that you get out may vary depending on how big of a pizza you want to make. We made a small one so we used about 1-2 chicken breasts, cut into pieces. We seasoned them with some KC BBQ Rub Seasoning and cooked them for about 3 minutes or until they were almost but not quite cooked through. Then we added the Sharwood’s Tikka Masala Cooking Sauce and let it simmer for another minute or so.

While our sauce/chicken was simmering we made up our dough in a greased pan and coated it with a little melted butter and garlic (just brush it over). You can use refrigerated pizza dough for this, or you an even pick up some naan bread from your local grocer and use it instead. It will be already cooked as well, so you won’t have to cook that as long as if you were using the dough. Once your chicken/sauce is simmered, just spread it on top of your dough. (you could even add some fresh tomatoes if you want) Then top with shredded cheese. Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until your dough is done. If you’re using naan bread instead of dough, just cook it until the cheese is all melty and bubbly.

That’s it! Just take it out, cut, and serve. You can also top with some fresh cilantro to give it even more added flavor. We’ll definitely be making this again, probably using the naan bread! We’re so glad we got to try the Tikka Marsala sauce thanks to our Degustabox. It’s something we wouldn’t necessarily have picked up ourselves, but we’re definitely going to now!
